условия проведения реакции гибридизации нуклеиновых кислот, включающие температуру, концентрацию соли и значение рН, при которых осуществляется или возможен "отжиг" определенных одноцепочечных нуклеиновых кислот с образованием гибридов (ДНК / ДНК, ДНК / РНК, РНК / РНК). Различают "мягкие" условия, условия "средней жесткости" и "жесткие" условия. Степень Ж.у., в которых способны гибридизоваться две цепочки нуклеиновых кислот, служит показателем степени их комплементарности: чем "жестче" условия реакции, тем выше должен быть уровень комплементарности нуклеотидных последовательностей для образования гибрида.Толковый биотехнологический словарь.
